Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The representatives of the Border Services of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan held a working meeting at the border crossing point Uchkurgan of Uzbekistan on 11 August to discuss conflict situations on the border, ways to prevent provocations actions on the part of border guards of both countries and joint efforts to prevent illegal border crossing by citizens of the two countries living in frontier areas.

The decision was made to improve the joint security efforts along the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border and maintaining public order in frontier areas, AKIpress reporeted.

The two sides agreed to remain diplomatic in case of conflicts on the border, to broader work with the population living in frontier areas explaining them about inadmissibility of illegal border crossing.
