Kyrgyz PM calls for closer ties with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prime Minister of Kyrgyztsan Sooronbay Jeenbekov has received new Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov in connection with the beginning of his diplomatic mission, the press-service of the Kyrgyz government said in a statement.

Kyrgyz Prime Minister gave several instructions and expressed confidence that the new ambassador will use his experience to further develop relations with Uzbekistan.

Taking into account the meeting between Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and Uzbek President Islam Karimov, which took place in Tashkent on 24 June 2016, the head of government stressed that it was necessary to activate cooperation in all key directions and strengthen good neighbourly relations with Uzbekistan.

In particular, Daniyar Sydykov noted the importance of holding scheduled meetings of the joint Kyrgyz-Uzbek inter-governmental commission on bilateral relations and the joint Kyrgyz-Uzbek inter-governmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
