Kvartz changes shares to raise authorized capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kvartz OJSC raised its charter capital through increasing par value of its ordinary shares. The company increased nominal value of shares from 2,500 soums to 4,500 soums.

The company said it registered new emission of shares. Within the emission, the company issued 145,236 ordinary shares with par value of 4,500 soums. Total volume of issue is 653.562 million soums.

The emission is aimed at meeting the requirements of legislation on the minimal size of the charter capitals of public companies. In line with legislation, joint stock companies should raise their charter capitals to US$400,000 equivalent at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan by 1 January 2010.

The shares will be placed on closed subscription among shareholders. The company will exchange old securities with par value of 2,500 soums to new ones with nominal price of 4,500 soums.

At the same time, the company will direct 318,066 million soums of undistributed income for 2008 to cover the difference.

Kvartz OJSC, one of the leading enterprises in Central Asia, was founded in 2975 to satisfy demand of canning plants of Uzbekistan and Central Asia for glassware. The company produces various glassware products.
