Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13-14 May, a delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Nozimjon Kholmurodov visited Kuwait to hold B2B meetings and an exhibition dedicated to the investment, export and tourism potential of our country, Dunyo news agency reported.
On the first day of the visit, the head of the delegation met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fouad Al-Ghanim and Sons Group of Companies, Fuad Al-Ghanim, and the director of the regional representative office of Lulu Group International in Kuwait, Muhammad Haris.
During the meeting, a presentation of 37 projects worth $6.3 billion took place in the fields of energy, agriculture, transport, production of building materials, metallurgy and the chemical industry, tourism and infrastructure.
Al-Ghanim Corporation has 50 years of experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, construction, energy, oil and gas, automotive, aviation, telecommunications and real estate.
The Kuwaiti side expressed interest in investment cooperation in the fields of energy, railway construction and other areas.
The opportunity to attract funds from the Kuwait Arab Fund for Economic Development and European countries to projects in Uzbekistan was noted.
At a meeting with the director of the Lulu Group International representative office, Muhammad Haris, and specialists from this organization, benefits provided to foreign importers of Uzbek agricultural products were discussed, and samples were presented.
During the conversation, issues of transport and logistics were also discussed.
