Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- General Director of Fly and See Agro LLC Vasily Ptitsyn and Head of the Directorate of the Navoi Free Economic Zone in Uzbekistan Habib Abdullayev signed a Memorandum on the implementation of the investment program “Creating our own production of unmanned aerial systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan.” This was reported by Kommersant.

It is planned that, with the participation of Russian specialists, drones will be developed and produced in Navoi for agricultural needs, and also exported to foreign markets (including Russia). The total cost of the program over a five-year period will be US$80 million.

The project involves the training of qualified personnel in Uzbekistan, the creation of an appropriate enterprise in the Navoi Free Economic Zone and a management system for the republic’s production enterprises involved in the program.

“The involvement of experts from Russia, as well as the assistance and production potential of the Uzbek side will give impetus to the production and use of unmanned aerial vehicles with subsequent export,” said the company “Fly and See Agro”, which considers Uzbekistan as a springboard for entering the investment markets of the Middle East.
