Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Korzinka supermarket chain will continue its strategy of ensuring minimal prices on popular products, though it will be changing the name of the program. The company’s press service has announced this update.

Korzinka has solved its dispute with the Competition Committee over the use of the slogan “The Lowest Price for Daily Purchases” in the chain’s advertising.

Despite the name change, the retailer’s main goal remains unchanged — maintaining minimal prices on popular items. The range of products has been expanded to 300 items, and prices have become even more accessible for customers.

In July, the Competition Committee initiated an investigation into the chain’s advertising campaign, which used the aforementioned slogan. In response, the company decided not to contest the decision and accepted the recommendation to rename the program.

Korzinka’s CEO, Rudd Pedersen, explained that the "Lowest Price for Daily Purchases" program was based on continuous monitoring of market prices, confirming its accuracy.

However, he stated that the company decided to follow the Committee’s recommendations and make the necessary changes.

Korzinka will focus on improving customer offers and further expanding its product range.

Pedersen emphasized that the essence of the program is more important than its name. “We are renaming the program to ‘Daily Purchases at Even Lower Prices,’ but the principles remain the same. Korzinka will continue to monitor market prices and offer the best conditions for customers,” he added.

Additionally, the program’s range has been expanded, with more popular brands now available in each category. The price monitoring program and the new initiative will continue to operate in the 12 regions of Uzbekistan where Korzinka stores are located.
