Kyung-Hwan Chang, Korean Air executive vice-president of corporate strategy and planning, and Valeriy Tyan, Uzbekistan Airways director general and head of the Uzbekistan Aviation Administration, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for mutual cooperation at the Seoul Lotte Hotel yesterday.

According to the LOI, the two companies shall jointly participate in the construction of an international logistics centre at Navoi International Airport, seek Uzbekistan Airways’ Associate membership in SkyTeam, and increase air travel capacity between Korea and Uzbekistan.

The two companies agreed to form a joint task force that will pursue the tasks in detail.
