Korean calligraphy exhibition opens in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Opening ceremony of an exhibition “Elegant world of Korean calligraphy” was held at the Central Exhibition Hal of Uzbekistan Art Academy.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan said that he exhibition will be held from 16 October to 21 October 2012.

Calligraphy is one of the unusual oriental art genres. History of Korean calligraphy, which reflects unique art world, started from Chinese written language, and continues to develop.

Korean written language Hangul is acknowledged as perfect art and included to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Korean written language differs from calligraphy art of other countries and it reflects mentality of Korean people and it is honour of Korea.

The exhibition presented about 180 works of famous Korean penman.
