The visit of the Korea Telecom delegation to Uzbekistan is practical implementation of agreements, reached during the state visit of the Uzbek President to South Korea in September 2012.

The cooperation in communication and information sector between two states is conducted in line with interstate, intergovernmental, and inter-departmental documents.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing bilateral cooperation in new directions of telecommunication and information-communication technologies sector. The sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of developing telecommunication technologies.

Underlining high level of the Uzbek-Korean bilateral cooperation, Korea Telecom delegation expressed wish and intention to expand its activities in Uzbekistan through introduction of new wireless technologies.
