Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 February, Komil Allamjonov commented on the verdict issued in the case of the attempted attack against him.

He noted that there is still a long road ahead, filled with challenges.

"What I had to endure over the past five months is known only to me, my family, and my closest people. However, the truth—no matter how much it was distorted or concealed—has ultimately come to light," Allamjonov stated.

On 12 February, the Military Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan concluded the trial on the criminal case concerning the attempted attack on Komil Allamjonov, announcing sentences for ten defendants.

According to the court’s decision, Shukhrat Rasulov and Shokhrukh Akhmedov were each sentenced to 23 years in prison, Javlon Yunusov received 18 years and 6 months, Ismoil Jakhongirov was sentenced to 23 years, and Doniyor Tashkhojayev was given a 7-year prison term.

The remaining five defendants received various sentences based on the severity of their crimes.

This marks the first time Komil Allamjonov has publicly spoken about the attack against him and the subsequent investigation.
