The enterprise will produce automobile gas cylinders with the volume of 55 to 154 liters for automobiles, which use methane.
Some US$13.6 million were directed to implement the project. South Korea’s NK Compltks Ltd supplied main equipment and additional equipment was purchased from Turkey, Germany and South Korea.
Ko-UNG Cylinder is planning to launch production of automobile cylinders for propane and butane, as well as oxygen cylinders. It is planned to export part of the goods to the CIS states.
In March 2011, Avtogaztaminot, Zavod Uzbekkhimmash (both Uzbekistan), KOGAS, KOLON and NK (South Korea) also founded a joint venture Ko UNG Cylinder, which will produce equipment for CNG stations.
Ko Ung Cylinder was founded in Navoi free industrial and economic zone and it will produce 120,000 units of automobile gas containers.
