Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Track and field athlete and flag bearer of Uzbekistan’s Paralympic team Khusniddin Norbekov has become a three-time Paralympic champion.
He claimed the gold medal in the shot put event at the Paris Paralympic Games with a throw of 16.82 meters, setting a new Paralympic record.
Khusniddin Norbekov made history as the first Uzbek athlete to win three Paralympic gold medals, having previously won gold at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games.
Uzbekistan’s team has now secured a total of 17 medals at the Paris Paralympics: 8 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze.
