Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The German Development Bank KfW will provide Uzbekistan with a loan in the amount of 45 million euros for the digitalization of the healthcare system.

On 1 May 2023, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On additional measures to digitalize the healthcare system”.

According to the document, the loan was granted for a period of 12 years, including a five-year grace period. KfW also provided a grant of 5.5 million euros.

The funds will be used to implement the project "Support for reforms in the digitalization of healthcare."

As part of the project, it is planned to introduce the Electronic Prescription system, develop the Electronic Sanatorium platform, which creates the possibility of obtaining a ticket to a sanatorium, tracking the queue and availability.

It is also planned to create an information system "Cancer-register" for maintaining an electronic list of cancer patients, as well as the possibility of obtaining sheets and certificates of temporary disability through the Unified Portal of Public Services.
