The visit was organized within the framework of the memorandum on cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the sphere of tourism, which was signed in Astana on 23 June. The visit is aimed at studying the experience of Uzbekistan in development of the national tourism industry.

In particular, the Kazakh side was interested in introduction of the electronic system "E-MEHMONXONA", tourist (hotel) collection, training, retraining and raising the level of skills of the tourism staff, including professional guides-translators, creation and promotion of the national tourist product.

During the meetings and negotiations, the Uzbek side explained in detail all the issues of interest to the Kazakh delegation, and also proposed to establish bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism through the joint promotion of the tourist brand "Silk Road".

In addition, the parties reached an agreement on joint development of combined tours for tourists from third countries.

With a view to the practical implementation of the reached agreements, the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan organized a B2B meeting between Uzbek travel companies and representatives of NC "Kazakh Tourism".

In particular, the topical issues of interaction between tour operators of the two countries and the available opportunities to create combined tours were discussed.
