Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 January, Kazakhstan imposed a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel by rail transport.
The Ministry of Energy explained that this decision was made to prevent a shortage of fuel materials on the domestic market.
However, exceptions have been made, including for lubricants, fuel carried in vehicle fuel tanks as per manufacturer specifications, aviation fuel used for research purposes, and certain petroleum products exported as humanitarian aid.
The ban on the export of petroleum products by rail will also apply with exceptions for gasoline exported according to approved delivery plans, petroleum products intended for humanitarian aid, or for disaster relief operations (from 1 February 2025, to 29 March 2025).
