Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In May of this year. Kazakhstan exported 65,020 tons of wheat flour to Uzbekistan, which is 37% higher than in April. This is a record monthly volume not only since the beginning of the current season, but also over the past few seasons, APK-Inform reports with reference to official statistics. 

In general, for 9 months of 2022/23 (September-May), Uzbekistan imported 406,600 tons of Kazakh flour.

Over the same period last season, Kazakhstan supplied 319,200 thousand tons of these products to Uzbekistan (including 33,730 tons in May 2022).

Thus, Uzbekistan firmly holds the 2nd place in the list of importers of Kazakh wheat flour, second only to Afghanistan.

Interestingly, the export of wheat from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, according to official statistics, also increased significantly.

According to the results of 9 months of 2022/MY, Uzbekistan became the top importer of Kazakh grain - 3.094 million tons were shipped in this direction, incl. in May this year - 395.12 thousand tons (this is the highest figure for the last 5 months). For the same period last season, Uzbekistan purchased 2.21 million tons of wheat (including 150.87 thousand tons in May 2022).
