The leaders of the customs bodies of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have discussed the issue of opening additional customs points on the border, Kazakhstan Today news agency reported quoting the press service of the South Kazakhstan Regional customs control department.
According to the press service, recently the chairman of the Kazakh Finance Ministry’s customs control committee, Askar Shakirov, and the chairman of the Uzbek State Customs Committee, Sodirkhon Nosirov, held negotiations during which the Kazakh side put forward a proposal to increase the throughput capacity on the border and to construct checkpoints on the Uzbek side of the border.
