Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov is expected to pay a visit to Uzbekistan on 26-27 July, Kazinform reported on 19 July.

According to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, the 2nd session of the Interstate Coordination Council will be held on 26 July.

The progress of the realization of the reached agreements, issues regarding trade-economic cooperation will be discussed within the frame of the session.

To date, the Interstate Coordination Council was established in March 2006 following the results of the official visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Uzbekistan and his negotiations with the Uzbekistani Leader Islam Karimov.

The 1st session of the Council with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Islam Karimov was held in November 2006 in Tashkent.
