Kapitalbank starts programme on issuing UNIStream client cards

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kapitalbank open joint stock commercial bank started to issue client cards of UNIStream at sending remittances through the system. The client cards simplifies and speeds up registration of the money transfer.

The cards will allow to send remittances fast and participate in special campaigns of UNIStream, the bank said.

The bank added that the client cards are issued for free at sending money through UNIStream money transfer system. The client card holders will be able to use SMS notification service on status of remittance.

UNIStream International Money Transfer System was launched in 2001. Currently, the system is one of the largest money transfer systems in the world. Its share in the CIS market makes u 25%.

According to the company, the turnover of the system in 2010 made up US$3.92 billion and number of transactions – 6.1 million. Incoming transactions from Russia to Uzbekistan reached US$568 million in 2010, and outgoing – US$29 million in 2010. The number of remittances reached 940,000.
