Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 24 November 2024, a KamAZ truck damaged barrier device No. 4 at a railroad crossing. 

The incident occurred at approximately 1:05 AM on the Jizzakh-Syrdarya section. The KamAZ driver ignored a red traffic light, broke through the barrier, and crossed the railroad at the 32-kilometer mark between the "Dashtobod-Robot-Dashtobod-Yangier" stations. As a result, barrier device No. 4 was damaged. 

This barrier system, designed to stop vehicles and other means of transport during train crossings, plays a crucial role in preventing accidents and ensuring safety. 

Thanks to the device's functionality, a potential disaster was averted, safeguarding the movement of freight and passenger trains and ensuring the safety of hundreds of passengers on board.
