Kafolat collects insurance premiums for 7.7bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kafolat state joint stock insurance company collected insurance premiums for 7.69 billion soums in the first quarter of 2013, which grew by 48.9% year-on-year.

The company said that the volume of collected premiums on personal insurance made up 41%.

The insurer said that it collected insurance premiums for 3.52 billion soums on mandatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners on 101,495 agreements. The liabilities of the company on these agreements made up 608.1 billion soums. The company claimed the second place among companies, which engaged in this sector of the market.

On mandatory insurance of civil liability of employees, the company received 1.256 billion soums on 2,444 agreements. The liabilities of these agreements reached 599.1 billion soums.

Total volume of rendered insurance services made up 2.355 trillion soums in the reporting period, which rose by 85.5% year-on-year.

The company also made insurance payouts on 901 requests for 1.68 billion soums, which rose by 166.1% year-on-year.

As of 31 March 2013, the volume of investments of Kafolat made up 24.478 billion soums. The growth of investments grew by 36.3% year-on-year.

The insurance reserve of the company made up 20,7 billion soums in January-March 2013.

Kafolat said that it handed over 454.1 billion soums to re-insurance to ensure balance of insurance balance.

The insurer underlined that it received 3.096 billion soums of insurance premiums from individuals in the first quarter of 2013. It also paid out 307.5 million soums of insurance compensations to individuals in January-March 2013.
