Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During today’s competition of World Judo Championship, Uzbekistan was represented by 2 judokas. Among men in the category -100 kg Muzaffarbek Turaboev, among women in the category -78 kg Iriskhon Kurbonboeva competed for medals.

Turaboev successfully reached the final, and in the decisive fight he defeated the representative of Canada Kyle Reyes with the Golden Score and became the world champion.

This gold became the second in the treasury of the national team of Uzbekistan. Yesterday in the -90 kg category Davlat Bobonov won a medal of the highest standard.
