Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The judicial powers of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court - Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Administrative Cases Robakhon Makhmudova have been suspended. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.

The High Qualification Board of Judges made a decision based on her application. According to Article 62 of the Law "On Courts", a judge is not entitled to engage in political activities.

Today, the Social Democratic Party "Adolat" nominated Robakhon Makhmudova as a candidate for the President of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the qualification board of judges suspended Mahmudova's judicial powers.
