Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of Uzbekistan has fined the Joint Stock Company Tashkent Carriage Building and Repair Plant for violating competition laws.

The Tashkent department of the committee conducted an analysis of tenders organized by the "Tashkent Carriage Building and Repair Plant," totaling over 2.8 billion soums.

As a result of these investigations, a case was initiated against the company for violating the requirements of Article 29 of the Law "On Competition." According to this article, business entities are required to ensure equal conditions for all participants in tenders and must not hinder competition.

Following the review of the case, Tashkent Carriage Building and Repair Plant was fined. The committee also issued orders to address the identified violations and to implement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Additionally, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the official responsible for the violation of competition laws, which has been sent to the court for consideration.
