JSC "NGMK" reports operational results for Q1 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The production volume reached 27.8 trillion soums (a growth rate of 100.7% compared to Q1 2024).

A total of 753,500 ounces of gold were extracted (compared to 748,100 ounces during the same period in 2024).

$118.4 million was invested under the Investment Program.

697 new jobs were created.

Cost optimization measures resulted in a reduction of production costs by 786 billion soums.

Within the Localization Program, products worth 349.8 billion soums were released.

Purchases through inter-industry cooperation exceeded 1.8 trillion soums.

Production Capacities and Investment Projects

The Muruntau deposit, the largest in the world in terms of gold reserves (101 million ounces), remains the key asset of NGMK. The combined reserves of the plant are estimated at 148 million ounces.

Current projects:

"Development of Muruntau V stage (Phase 2)"
A feasibility study has been developed.
Planned ore supply volume to GMZ-2 — 60 million tons (190 million m³ of rock mass).

"Expansion of GMZ-7 capacities" (as part of the Sustainable Development Program until 2030)
Increasing the production of precious metals.
Annual processing of 10 million tons of technogenic waste.
Implementation of energy-efficient technologies.

"Ore mining at Kokpatas and Daugiztau deposits (Stage III)"
Will provide GMZ-3 with 10 million tons of ore per year.
Procurement of over 100 units of specialized equipment (excavators, dump trucks, bulldozers).

"Development of the Zarmitan deposit"
The depth of the shaft reached 1,000 meters (a record for Central Asia).
Planned mining — 1.4 million tons of ore per year (processing at GMZ-4).

"Reconstruction of the tailings facility at GMZ-2"
Construction of new tailing storage facilities for safe waste disposal until 2032.

In February 2025, Sustainable Fitch assigned JSC "NGMK" an ESG rating of ‘3’ (the first public rating in the Uzbekistan sector).

The "Labor Protection Month" initiative is being implemented to reduce workplace injuries.

The plant was recognized as a leader in cybersecurity in 2024.

As part of the "Green Space" project, the following trees were planted:

65,850 seedlings along the M-37 highway and at GMZ-1.

Over 300,000 trees at industrial sites (data entered into the electronic platform).

Geological Exploration and Corporate Governance

Advanced practices are being introduced to expand the resource base.

In Q1, the following took place:

3 meetings of the Supervisory Board (11 issues were discussed).

25 meetings of the Board of Directors (41 decisions were made).

JSC "NGMK" continues to demonstrate steady growth, combining production efficiency with environmental and social responsibility.
