Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola praised the performance of Abdukodir Khusanov following a friendly match against Italian side Palermo, the club’s press service reports.

Guardiola highlighted the central defender’s outstanding potential and remarkable speed, noting that the player once again confirmed his strong qualities.

“The three new players we signed ahead of the Club World Cup — Cherki, Aït-Nouri, and Reijnders — are truly impressive.

The same goes for Khusanov, whom we signed in January. Today, he once again showcased his potential. In terms of speed, he is one of the fastest footballers I have ever seen,” the coach said.

Abdukodir Khusanov was in the starting lineup and played the first 45 minutes. The match ended in a confident 3-0 victory for the English club over Palermo.
