Stephanie Al Naber was again on song for Jordan scoring a brace in her side’s 5-0 win over their West Asian rivals. She took her tally to eight goals while striker Maysa Jbarah’s two goals helped her reach six. Farah Al Azab scored a goal for the winners.
Komola Usmanova opened the scoring for Uzbekistan in the 75th minute and captain Nargiza Abdurasulova took her tally to seven goals with a stoppage time strike.
Both Jordan and Uzbekistan are on nine points from three games but the former lead the standings on better goal difference having netted 21 and conceded just one goal.
Kyrgyzstan, who are third on better goal difference than Palestine, are well-placed to claim the final berth in the next round when they take on lowly Maldives on Sunday.
The table toppers will clash in the final game on Sunday to determine the group winner who will join Chinese Taipei and Myanmar in Group A in the next round.
The second-placed team will join Thailand and Iran in Group B while the third-placed team will face Vietnam and Hong Kong in Group C.
