Industrial output of Uzbekistan increased by 11.6% in 2012, agriculture production – by 6.8%, capital investments – by 17.9%, construction works – 13.1%., retail trade turnover – 15.5% and services – 18.6%.

UzA reported that the region implemented 174 projects for over 30 billion soums in 2012. Capital investments for 622.4 billion utilized in 2012.

The region launched 489,700 square meters of houses, 269.4 km of water pipes, 45.6 km of gas pipelines. The region also reconstructed 57 km of collectors and 9.2 km of irrigation system in 2012. The region last year created 43,900 new jobs.
