Jizzakh region attracts US$20.1m in 2009

Jizzakh region attracted US$20.1 million investments for realization of 16 projects in 2009, state-run news agency reported.
Alisher Kadyrov, head of Jizzakh regional department of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, told UzA that the region plans to implement 11 projects for US$143.6 million due to attraction of foreign investments within anti-crisis programme for 2010-2012.
He said these projects mainly directed to production of industrial and construction products and main of the capacities will be created in the rural areas.
