Jizzakh Battery Plant starts to produce calcium storage batteries
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jizzakh Battery Plant launched capacities on production of calcium storage batteries with the cost of US$10 million. The enterprise commissioned a production line, which can produce 800,000 units of calcium storage batteries a year, RIA Novosti reported.

The company plans fully transfer all its capacities to production of calcium storage batteries as demand for lead-acid batteries is decreasing. Its total capacity is 1 million units.

Companies from South Korea, Germany and Italy supplied technologies to the plant. The project was financed due to own resources of the founders.

Jizzakh Battery Plant with charter capital of 74.2 million soums was founded in March 2010 on the base of UzExcide, an Uzbek-US venture. The venture was announced bankrupt in 2009 by Jizzakh regional economic court.
