JETRO invites Uzbek businesses to FOODEX JAPAN 2013
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 38th International Food and Beverage Exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2013 will be held in Chiba prefecture near Tokyo.

The event organizers are Japan Management Association, Japan Hotel Association, Japan Restaurant Association, Japan Tourism Facilities Association, Japan Ryokan Association, Japan Ryokan and Hotel Association.

The exhibition is supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan Tourism Agency, prefecture and city of Chiba and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

It is expected that number of FOODEX 2013 participants will make up 2,300 from 70 countries of the world. Expected number of visitors is 75,000.

JETRO Office in Tashkent offers business circles of Uzbekistan to participate at FOODEX 2013. So far, JETRO Office in Tashkent helped about 10 companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to take part in the event.

In particular, Uzplodoovishvinprom, Uzmarkazimpeks, Uzinterimpex, Uzbekbirlashuv, Vinprom, Markazsanoatexport, Aktiv (Kazakhstan), Moya Mechta Plyus, Tashkent Fat and Oil Combine, BAS-Agro Samarkand participated at the event.

Nodira Mukhammadkulova, analyst at JETRO in Tashkent, said that JETRO offers preferences for businesses from Uzbekistan. She said that fee for direct registration is about US$7,000 and registration via JETRO – about US$1,300.

“We help to register documents, which decreases time spent for registration, provide space for exhibits and services of translator and consultant for free to simplify process of negotiations and overcoming language barriers,” JETRO representative said.

Nodira Mukhammadkulova added that interested businesses can apply to JETRO Office on all issues related to participation at FOODEX till 15 September 2012.

FOODEX JAPAN is the largest annual food and beverage tradeshow in Asia and has been a highly successful trade event since its debut in 1976 serving not only Japan’s $700 billion food market but many lucrative Asian markets. Over 73,800 professional visitors attended FOODEX 2012, including over 6,500 from Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Hong Kong.

It is an excellent and effective opportunity for you, exhibitors, to promote your products to expanding Asian markets.

The exhibition participants present various sea products, fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, eggs and egg products, bread and macaroni goods, etc.
