Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the decision of the sole shareholder, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Javlonbek Oybekovich was approved as Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports JSC on 20 June.

Prior to this, from 9 August 2023, he led the company in capacity of acting chairman, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports said.

Javlonbek Umarkhojaev began his career in 2008 at Uzbekistan Airways. From 2009 to 2018, he was the head of the aviation security department of Uzbekistan Airways.

In 2018-2021, he worked as deputy head of the capital construction directorate and technical director for the implementation of the Tashkent-East project of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC.

From 2021 to 2023, he served as First Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations of Uzbekistan Airports JSC.
