Japanese filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa receives the “Turizm Fidoyisi” badge

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, together with the administration of the Suginami district of Tokyo, organized a ceremony to present the famous Japanese film director, screenwriter and writer Kiyoshi Kurosawa with the "Turizm Fidoyisi " badge and certificate. The embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo reports.

The ceremony took place on 28 November in the hall "The Hall Sesion Suginami" in the framework of a cultural event about Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of the official, cultural, educational, business circles and the media of Japan (about 250 people in total).

As you know, "Turizm Fidoyisi " badge is awarded to citizens of Uzbekistan and foreign countries who have made a worthy contribution to the development and popularization of the tourism industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the ceremony, it was noted that K. Kurosawa is the author of numerous wonderful films, including "The end of the journey, the beginning of the world", dedicated to Uzbekistan.

It was emphasized that this feature film made it possible to better acquaint the general Japanese public with Uzbekistan and contributed to an increase in the number of Japanese people visiting Uzbekistan.

In response, K. Kurosawa sincerely thanked the Government of Uzbekistan for conferring such a high award and recognition of his activities in the field of art. In his words, it is a great honor for him to be awarded the "Turizm Fidoyisi " badge.

K. Kurosawa stressed that he always recalls with special warmth his visits to Uzbekistan, which is famous for its rich culture, wonderful architectural monuments and delicious national dishes.

In an interview with Kiyoshi, Kurosawa noted the following:

“It gives me great pleasure to take part in today's gala event. I fondly remember my first trip to Uzbekistan in 2018 to film an Uzbek-Japanese film entitled "The End of the Journey, the Beginning of the World." Unfortunately, due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, I was not able to visit your beautiful country again this year.

In this difficult period, it is a great honor for me to receive the high award of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Turizm Fidoyisi " badge and receive it today during the award ceremony within the framework of the festival of culture of Uzbekistan held by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tokyo.

I sincerely express my sincere gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for awarding such a high award for my modest contribution to the development of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Japan. I intend to continue making efforts to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Japan and to strengthen bilateral ties.

In conclusion, I would like to wish the entire Uzbek people peace and further prosperity. "
