Japan issues US$3m to Uzbekistan, instead of US$3.9m

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Japan allocated grant for 250 million yens (US$3 million) to purchase of high-technological medical equipment, produced in the country, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said.

Earlier reported that Japan will issue 300 million yens (US$3.9 million), but due to financial situation in Japan the grant’s sum was decreased.

The grant of the Japan Government will be used to purchase endoscopic vision systems (video gastroscope and video colonoscope) and digital radiographers.

The resolution said that the National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity will serve the grant of Japan.
