Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Supervisory Board of UzAuto Motors JSC has appointed János Kovács as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Originally from Hungary, Kovács graduated from the Budapest University of Technology with a degree in Automotive Engineering.
With over 20 years of experience in the global automotive industry, he is recognized as a seasoned executive, having held senior leadership roles at major international companies including General Motors, Opel, GM Powertrain Uzbekistan, UzAuto Peugeot Citroën Automotive, and VinFast Automotive.
Throughout his career, Kovács has successfully led strategic initiatives in quality management, operational efficiency, and automotive plant management.
Since 2021, he has served as a member of the Supervisory Board of UzAuto Motors, where he also sat on the company’s Audit Committee.
