Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Economy and Finance, held a meeting with representatives of the Turkish company Gemetis, headed by Mustafa Ercan Ozgur.

During the meeting, prospects for the development of the jewelry industry in Uzbekistan and the possibility of implementing joint projects were discussed.

The parties expressed interest in cooperation and discussed various aspects of cooperation in the field of jewelry. The importance of studying Turkiye’s experience in this area was noted, including the creation of educational institutions specializing in jewelry, the training of qualified specialists and the creation of additional opportunities for entrepreneurship in this area.

Representatives of Gemetis expressed their intention to study the activities of jewelry manufacturers in Uzbekistan, as well as the opportunities provided by the country’s jewelry centers, including Samarkand and Bukhara. After this, they plan to present their proposals for cooperation.

Both sides emphasized their readiness to establish an effective partnership that contributes to the development of the jewelry industry and the overall economic prosperity of the region.

Gemetis, founded in 1962 under the name "Özgür Kuyumculuk", focused on the production of engagement rings and diamonds. Since 2020, it has been supplying the market in Turkiye and other countries with more than 3,000 types of wedding rings.
