Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 December 2020, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kochkarov and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sovkombank Sergey Khotimsky to discuss possible directions for financing various promising projects in Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the bank representatives were briefed on the macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan, the ongoing reforms in the field of privatization and transformation of state-owned enterprises, as well as the strategy for reforming the banking system of Uzbekistan until 2025.

The delegation of Sovcombank expressed interest in the ongoing reforms in the banking and financial sector in the country.

Representatives of the bank stressed that they share the goal of privatization of banks with the participation of the state, and expressed readiness to hold open and in-depth talks at the first meeting.

Representatives of Sovcombank, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, as well as the Ministry of Finance will review future promising projects and programs that could be used for financing by the bank.
