Jakson Green to build solar power plant in Uzbekistan for Masdar

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Indian company Jakson Green has secured financing for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant in Uzbekistan, according to a company press release.

Jakson Green announced that it has received a loan of 2.96 billion Indian Rupees (US$35.36 million) from First Abu Dhabi Bank. The funds will be used for building a solar power plant in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.

The project involves constructing a 250 MW solar power plant and a 63 MW (126 MWh) energy storage facility. The project is commissioned by Masdar, a UAE-based company.

Chandan Goswami, Chief Financial Officer of Jakson Green, stated: “Support from First Abu Dhabi Bank enables us to operate across various markets and seize opportunities for sustainable growth. This project in Uzbekistan demonstrates our commitment to leading practices in renewable energy at both national and international levels and highlights our dedication to advancing clean energy solutions and fostering global partnerships in the renewable energy sector.”

Nishad Kulkarni, Executive Director of First Abu Dhabi Bank India, added: “We are pleased to support Jakson Green’s international ambitions in renewable energy. We are confident that Jakson Green’s expertise and experience will ensure the success of this significant project on a global scale.”
