IUT students win in mobile apps fair
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) won the first and second places in nomination of “The Best Android Application” of the Uzbekistan-Korea Capstone Design Fair.

Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT) and Korea National University of Transportation (KNUT) organized the Uzbekistan-Korea Capstone Design Fair.

Before the fair, TUIT and KNUT conducted a two-week training course on mobile app development for students of universities and colleges, located in Tashkent city. Some 30 young people attended the course.

KNUT professors and teachers conducted the course. During lessons, the participants learned to code on Java to develop mobile apps on Android platform.

The participants were divided into six groups and they should develop mobile app based on knowledge, obtained during the course.

A group led by the student of Inha University in Tashkent Shahzod Bohidjonov won the first place in the fair with the mobile app Fast Café. Fast Café mobile app allows users to make online orders to fast foods. The app also includes information on various food products. The app also provides calories counter.

Another IUT student Muhlisa Anvarova with her group earned the second with their XWING Runner mobile game. XWING Runner helps people to improve their agility and reaction.

Shahzod Bohidjonov said: “I am happy that I had a chance to take part in an Uzbek-Korean seminar “Development of mobile apps”. I learnt development of Android apps with help of Korean specialists. My group and I developed Fast Café app within a short of period time and won the first place of the fair.”

“I learnt a lot for myself during the course and improved my experience. I also made new friends and learnt to work in the group. I believe that my new knowledge will be useful for my future career,” said Muhlisa Anvarova.
