The course is directed at training highly qualified specialists in Java, who meet world standards and employers’ requirements. According to various sources, there are now more than 200,000 open vacancies for Java programmers in the world, while their monthly salary can vary from US$3,000 abroad and 10 million soums in Uzbekistan.
Director of Asian Investment Corporation Rovshan Shakirov said: “We have several projects in Uzbekistan and we feel a shortage of highly qualified Java programmers. To fill this niche, we decided to launch this project with Inha University in Tashkent.”
"The very idea of this project was born in September 2017 during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan to the Silicon Valley within the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to New York (USA),” he added.
The course will be conducted by an expert from the US technology company with 16 years of experience in software development and quality control in Silicon Valley. During the course, students will learn the basics of Java programming, the structure of the program, Java classes, testing, databases and work with them, developing web applications, maintaining the state in Java Web Apps, developing JSF, implementing the Code-First web service, RESTful services, server support for Ajax clients and development of RESTful clients.
Number of seats is limited. The organizers plan to attract 24 people to the group. The participants will be divided into two groups. The lessons will be held from Monday to Friday. One group will study before the lunch and the second after the lunch time.
The tuition fee for the whole program is 28.5 million soums or 3.5 million soums per month. At the end of the course, the best students will be attracted to the projects of Asian Investment Corporation in Uzbekistan and abroad.
