Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Akmal Kasymov held talks with representatives of China’s leading investment company, ITG Group.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, introducing advanced technologies in the agricultural sector, and launching new investment initiatives.

Special emphasis was placed on the dynamic development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, particularly in the cotton sector, where ties are becoming increasingly robust.

The discussions centered around promising joint projects aimed at developing the cotton-textile and light industries, as well as the production of drones and modern agricultural machinery.

Chinese experts noted that they are conducting a comprehensive analysis of Uzbekistan’s market conditions, infrastructure, and industrial potential, and are preparing concrete proposals for further collaboration.

Deputy Minister Kasymov confirmed the Ministry’s commitment to expanding cooperation with foreign investors and stressed the importance of working together on mutually beneficial projects.

As a result of the talks, both parties agreed to outline specific steps in key areas of cooperation and move forward with the phased implementation of agreed-upon initiatives.
