ITE announces Plastex Uzbekistan exhibition
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Platex Uzbekistan is a new addition to ITE Uzbekistan’s calendar. ITE already organises exhibitions under the Plastex brand in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Uzbekistan will become the fourth country where the event is held.

Platex Uzbekistan 2010 - the First International Specialised Exhibition for Raw Materials, Equipment, Plastic and Rubber Production and Processing Technologies – will be held alongside Chemie Uzbekistan 2010 on 16-18 November in Uzexpocentre, Tashkent.

Previously, the subject areas of “chemicals” and “polymers” were combined within one exhibition, ChemPlastAsia. Experience has shown that the division of ChemPlastAsia into separate exhibitions allows manufacturers to exhibit their products in the segment which most fully reflects their activities.

The separation of the exhibitions has met with positive feedback and support from the industry community, which is looking forward to Plastex Uzbekistan 2010, as it will be the first specialised event on this topic in Uzbekistan. In Uzbekistan, there is growing demand for PVC each year, which is proportionally related to the requirements of building materials, cables, pipelines and other industries that use PVC. Given the development of the national economy, an increase in PVC demand is expected. In Uzbekistan, there are manufacturing facilities that use PVC as raw material, which is supplied by imports. The main suppliers of PVC to Uzbekistan are Russia, Ukraine and China. Imports of PVC to Uzbekistan in January-June 2009 amounted to 14,968.7 tonnes.

For the first time at Plastex Uzbekistan, local and international companies will be able to demonstrate recent developments in the field of polymeric materials, and technologies for the production and processing of plastics and rubber, which will provide impetus to the creation of new joint projects.

Plastex Uzbekistan has received official support from Uzkimyosanoat. Organisers are ITE Uzbekistan and its partner I.T.E. Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd. (UK).
