Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said that the delegation will include representatives of the PROMO, Agency of Chamber of Commerce of Milan, and Gruppa di Torini, organization uniting commerce chambers and special agencies of Italian largest cities.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Italy grew by 34.81% year-on-year in January-March 2011 to US$36.4 million (US$27m in January-March 2010).

Exports of Uzbekistan to Italy grew from US$2.7 million in Janaury-March 2010 to US$2.8 million in the first quarter of 2011, while import of Uzbekistan from Italy rose from US$24.3 million to US$33.6 million.
