Over 200 participants presented over 80 stands at the exhibition. Stand “Information technologies of Uzbekistan” was also presented, UzACI reported.

The exhibition was officially opened by Vice Premier of Uzbekistan Elyor Ghaniev and First Vice Premier of Azerbaijan Yakub Yeyubov. They noted that the exhibition at Baku Expo Center deserves high attention and is organized within agreement of the heads of two states.

The exhibition presented large number of industries and presented good opportunities for business circles of Azerbaijan to familiarize with products and services of enterprises of Uzbekistan. Businesses of two states also had chance to discuss cooperation.

ICT industry was presented by Uzbektelecom, Uzbektelecom Mobile, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, UNICON. Uz, Telmax Elektroniks, Newmax and others.

Stand “Information technologies of Uzbekistan” was organized by the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information and the Association of Enterprises and Information Technologies of Uzbekistan.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Yakub Veli-Zade visited the exhibition and stand of ICT sector. He expressed interest in carrying out joint work in developing ICT sector in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

During the exhibition, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan inked several memorandums of understanding on cooperation and exchange of information, holding joint events and developments between companies.
