IT Park Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, and Growth Vision Pro launch international hub to facilitate startup expansion into China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the "AlmatyFair.ai" artificial intelligence exhibition in Almaty, a strategic trilateral agreement was signed between IT Park Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub, and the Chinese company Growth Vision Pro Ltd.
The agreement was signed by IT Park Uzbekistan CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, Astana Hub head Majan Madiyev, and Growth Vision Pro director Lazzat Borankulova. This partnership lays the foundation for an international hub that will support startups and IT companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in entering the Chinese market.
The hub’s primary goal is to accelerate the growth and expansion of startups within China’s innovation ecosystem. It will facilitate business missions, B2B meetings, and specialized exhibitions while also helping companies develop localization strategies, find partners, and attract investors.
Additionally, the initiative will include educational programs and joint research projects. A key focus will be on attracting Chinese tech companies and venture capital funds to Central Asia.
According to Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the partnership with Astana Hub under the "Central Asian Innovation Hubs" initiative has already delivered tangible results: over 40 companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan showcased their projects at major international events like "Web Summit 2024" and "TechCrunch Disrupt 2024." The newly established hub, targeting the Chinese market, will further amplify these efforts by providing IT Park Uzbekistan residents access to Chinese accelerators, mentorship programs, and investment opportunities.
Growth Vision Pro will facilitate connections with key Chinese players, including tech parks in Shenzhen and Beijing. Lazzat Borankulova highlighted that "China is not just a vast market but also a source of cutting-edge technologies. Our goal is to open this market to Central Asian startups."
The signed agreement marks a new chapter in the development of the regional IT ecosystem. This initiative will strengthen Uzbekistan’s and Kazakhstan’s positions as innovation hubs and integrate them into global technology value chains. In the coming months, the roadmap implementation will begin, including the organization of the first business missions to China and the launch of acceleration programs for startups.
