Issues related to the agricultural industry were considered at "ICTWEEK Uzbekistan-2022"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A week of information and communication technologies "ICTWEEK Uzbekistan-2022" is being held in Samarkand. Representatives of a number of international and regional organizations, employees of ministries, departments and organizations of the republic, in particular, heads and specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan responsible for the introduction of ICT, take part in the events.

The first day of the week was devoted to the discussion of reports on increasing the export potential of digital industry products, the prospects for e-government in Uzbekistan, and issues of digital development.

More than a hundred foreign and local companies present their services, software solutions and products at this exhibition, which takes place on an area of 4,000 square meters.

Also, within the framework of the events, the Ministry of Agriculture, together with a number of departments and companies, discussed issues related to the agricultural sector:

implementation in our republic of the best practices of digitalization of the agricultural industry, developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, Toyota Tsusho Corporation as a pilot project;

digitalization and upcoming projects of the e-Government Project Management Center for the provision of services to the population, including the possibility of introducing Face ID technology in the provision of services in the agricultural sector, data integration issues;

advanced solutions of mobile operators for organizing a network of broadband Internet access in rural areas, where communication coverage is poor, as well as the possibility of using them for test purposes for a certain period of time;

issues of introducing solar energy sources into agricultural facilities, buildings and structures.

The week will last until 27 October 2022.
