Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 August, in the building of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks, local authorities of districts and cities, a videoconference was held on the analysis of the current state of foreign trade activity in across industries and regions.
The event, held under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev, reviewed the current indicators of export activity by region and industry.
A number of systemic and particular problems that domestic enterprises face in the process of export deliveries have been identified.
The problems were mostly related to difficulties in obtaining credit resources by exporters, the lack of the necessary engineering infrastructure on the ground, obtaining the necessary export permits, taxation issues, in particular, the return of previously paid value added tax, the search for foreign customers and other aspects.
The responsible managers who took part in the meeting were tasked with intensifying targeted interaction with exporters at the level of regions, districts, cities and mahallas in order to promptly identify emerging issues, develop specific solutions and provide constant feedback to entrepreneurs to monitor production and export activities.
A comprehensive analysis was carried out on all the issues raised, as a result of which the heads of the relevant organizations were instructed to take effective measures to address them as soon as possible.
