Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, as part of a working visit to Azerbaijan, held a meeting with the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Marta Matray.

During the negotiations, important areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary were discussed. The possibilities of intensifying political dialogue, developing inter-parliamentary relations, further expanding trade and economic ties, and exchanges in the social sphere were discussed.

The parties noted the importance of developing economic diplomacy through the implementation of joint projects in various sectors of the economy, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, construction, agriculture and tourism.

Attention was also paid to issues of further strengthening cooperation in the field of education, science and innovation, and the introduction of joint educational programs with the participation of leading higher educational institutions of the two countries.

During the conversation, the parties focused on the development of interparliamentary relations, enriching them with new content, and exchanging experience in the field of lawmaking.

An agreement was reached to intensify the work of interparliamentary friendship groups as a practical mechanism for strengthening relations.
