Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 9 August 2023, a meeting was held between the management of Uzbekistan Temir JSC and a delegation of the Chinese enterprise CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. (CRRC ZELC), where the prospects for partnership and development of joint projects were discussed.

The meeting was held under the leadership of acting. Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC Z. Narzullaev and Vice President of the Chinese enterprise CRRC ZELC Chen Yuun. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC has previously established reliable cooperation with this enterprise and reliably operates electric locomotives manufactured by CRRC ZELC.

Issues of maintenance of Chinese electric locomotives operated by the Company, repair of electric locomotives and delivery of spare parts for them were discussed at the meeting. Issues related to the purchase of modern Chinese-made electric locomotives were also considered.

The management of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC noted that in recent years, the economic development of the states of Central Asia, the growth of the welfare of the population also contributed to the development of the transport system in the region, and the need for cargo transportation has increased. At the same time, the leadership emphasized the need for a broad development of passenger transportation.

At the event, the Chinese side made a presentation on the history of Chinese railways, the step-by-step development process and current achievements, and a specially prepared video was shown.

At the end of the meeting, the management of the JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" and the Chinese enterprise "CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co. Ltd” discussed the issues of further development of mutual cooperation, implementation of promising projects and the opening of a joint center with Chinese partners for the maintenance and repair of electric locomotives in Uzbekistan.
