Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place between Ilkhom Norkulov, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Mehmet Bektaş, the CEO of the Turkish company Studio Verebra.
The meeting was attended by Shakhobiddin Sharipov, head of the Department for Coordination of Regional Master Plan Development at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Bekzod Madaminov, the khokim (mayor) of Kungrad District, and other responsible officials.
Studio Verebra is a leading architectural design company founded in Istanbul in 2009. The company provides a wide range of services, from urban project design to interior design. It specializes in creating modern and sustainable solutions tailored to regional conditions, with a focus on environmental sustainability and cultural aspects.
Among the company’s notable projects are the Naji Topchuglu Science Center and Technopark in Gaziantep, and the Sulusaray thermal complex in Tokat. Studio Verebra has also been involved in urban development projects in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The company implements projects on a global scale across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
During the discussions, the parties addressed the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan’s regions. Special attention was given to the development of a long-term model for the growth of districts and cities, taking into account their geographical location, natural and climatic conditions, economic potential, and urbanization opportunities. Approaches to creating master plans based on modern architectural standards were also discussed.
The conversation included exchanges of views on the establishment of schools, hospitals, cultural centers, and other social infrastructure that meet modern standards, the development of environmentally safe projects and green spaces, as well as the application of international best practices in urban planning, environmental sustainability, and the creation of modern infrastructure.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to further develop mutual cooperation.
